Formerly a child soldier forced into supervillainy by his mother during his childhood and early teen years, JC has made valiant efforts to leave that behind him: a name change, leaving his home country, picking up an honest line of work, making a life for himself that doesn't involve crime, and finding God. Unfortunately for him, a young and upcoming superhero has decided that capturing the son of world-famous supervillain Iluzija and proving his reform was fake would be a great way to make his name as a hero. The fact that JC's reform was legit is merely an unfortunate stumbling block to this plan, so now JC's being stalked, harassed and tormented by a "hero" in an attempt to get him to use his powers and make him look like a villain, thus giving said designated hero a reason to arrest him.

But JC is nothing if not wildly, obnoxiously stubborn, and frankly, after all the war criminals and crime princes he's known, some entitled jackass in a cape doesn't scare him. So now he's doubled down on this pacifist thing, despite the circulating rumors about him and the way it's bringing other heroes around to threaten him. You can hand someone a match, but you can't make them light a fire.
